South of the equator the season is about to
change to the dry side of the year and the water
temperature drops with it. We are looking forward
to less humidity and more mild tropical days out on
the water. Bait has been gathering up in good
numbers and they are perfect snack size for blue
marlin.
As this transition takes place our new hand
carved timber marlin teaser will be going
through her trial phase.
"Marilyn" the
marlin teaser comes in a skipjack tuna shape and is
24" long (or 60 cm).
We will keep you updated on her development over
the next 4-6 weeks. Here is a preview of what the
first prototype looks like and we think she has all
the right curves in all the right places. The final
product will not be quite so high in the body.

In the tackle department we are working on some
new hardwood saltwater

top water plugs over the coming weeks.
We can also make products for other businesses
too. If your retail tackle business needs something
made then let
us know. We can offer you a number of
manufacturing advantages.
ARE YOU COMPETITIVE?
As a game fishing season opener we are putting
together a team of 4 to fish the 2006
Vanuatu Marlin Classic. Held at the end of May
this year, the team will spend 3 days fishing for
cash prizes we believe will be similar to last
year's event which had $35,000 AUD as the top
prize. An invitation to the IGFA Rolex Saltwater
International in 2007 is also up for grabs for the
winning team. A brand new Toyota Hilux 4 WD will go
the way of any angler who lands a grander under
IGFA rules.
Want to join our team and fish this
event? Then email
us now to secure your place. 1 male and 1
female angler have already signed up. We can assist
with arranging airfares and other local information
if you live outside Vanuatu. We are looking forward
to mixing it up against some very good teams so
join us in the fun.
Coming to Vanuatu in 2006? Then feel free
to send us an
email or call Demon Jigs on (+678) 26490 or
